Project Description

Home Gallery is an event arranged by doppiozero. The aim is to exhibit contemporary art in a private apartment, to investigate how the artworks interact with a domestic space, and how people interact with them.

The event lasts one day, actually one evening: the time of a party. The project is attended to by two curators, Mar and a photographer that reports the event. Every single event takes place in a different apartment in different cities; every time the we are called at few days’ notice and start working at the artworks’ setting.

Each house and its owners require a different approach. Sometimes we are free to question anything, while other times the owners set many limits and feel the event more like an invasion of their own private space. In both cases the interest is in generating new unexpected relations.
