Juarez Corso

(1978)

Founded MAR office in 2010 together with Paola Mongiu. He has received his Master in Architecture from the Politecnico di Milano in 2003 and has studied for one year at the UTecnica in Lisbon.
Since then he has collaborated with the Politecnico in several courses and research projects, he is currently assistant professor. 

He has lived in China and worked at the Office for Metropolitan Architecture in Beijing where he was involved in the Interlace project in Singapore until construction document phase and in the several competitions including the 1st prize winner Crystal Island in Shenzen.

Prior to OMA he has done diverse professional experiences with renowned Italian and International architecture firms as Maria Giuseppina Grasso Cannizzo, OdA associati, Cino Zucchi & Partners, winning different International Competitions.

Juarez is also engaged in independent photography projects.

Paola Mongiu

(1978)

Co-founder of MAR office, studied Architecture at the Politecnico di Milano and Faup in Porto. After receiving her MArch cum laude at Politecnico in 2003 with the thesis Mediterotopia that explores the territory of the Mediterranean Sea, she starts a series of diverse experiences collaborating with renowned architectural firms, teaching and engaging with different research projects. 

Paola worked at the Office for Metropolitan Architecture in Beijing, she was involved in the MahaNhakon Project in Bangkok since early concept studies to the detailed design phase and in the MahaNhakon Pavilion until the construction phase travelling to Bangkok to follow the construction site.

Prior to OMA she has also collaborated with Maria Giuseppina Grasso Cannizzo and CT Architetti involved in projects at all scales and stages. During her collaboration with CT she followed the Tenaris construction site in Qingdao, PRC. She has worked in independent projects mainly dealing with small scale and interiors.
