Research Description

SET 01_South Korea, Seoul City.
Otc 2009
This work is trying to look and fix on moments and spaces without any judgment. Light, materials and persons are all together part of the research.

SET 02_Italy, Milan, Natural History Museum. July 2012
This work is about the fantastic world of Diorama and the power of imagination that it’s able to transmit to who is looking at it. In order to enjoy the experience with a Diorama you don’t need an internet connection or other electronic devices, you have just to use the fantasy discovering details and scenarios. Step-by-step you will immerse in another world.

SET 03_Italy, Alghero, Luna Park Maria Pia. July 2012
Once you are in, you loose the perception of time and space, you loose fear and timidity and you feel yourself completely ready to explore it. The extension of the Luna Park is not fundamental to enjoy the experience because It’s able to build a mental space. A sequence of images is immediately part of something that is apparently real.

 

 

SET 04_Italy, Fertilia, Balloons.
Sept 2013
Impressive volumes, flashes of bright colors and shapes apparently are floating in the air, sinuously moving between umbrellas and distracted people. They stop, restart ,stop and restart again more or less with the same intermissions and with the same kindness for everyone that passed near by.
The balloons armour, like every armour, identifies an army and I’m sure that this army deserve more freedom and rights.

SET 05_Italy, Stintino, Starters. biennale 2014

The short video is part of the “animated postcards” that Studio Azzurro has created at the “Innesti Grafting” exhibition curated by Cino Zucchi for the Italian Pavilion.
“Inhabited Landscapes: life adapts to the spaces that adapt to life” occupies an entire section of the exhibition and shows the the multi-layered history typical of the Italian territory.
The title "Starters" contains the concept of the video; comparing the landscape to the food, it is just up to us to decide our greediness.
